The Reluctant Mermaid

one woman unwilling to swim in the same direction as the others

I'll never look at a bar of chocolate the same way...

a funny thing just happened. I was searching for a poem about being cold... and I came up with this:

Hot and Cold

A woman who my mother knows
Came in and took off all her clothes.

Said I, not being very old,
'By golly gosh, you must be cold!'

'No, no!' she cried. 'Indeed I'm not!
I'm feeling devilishly hot!'

Roald Dahl

so there you go my friends. That blows my whole post to shreds... here I was thinking I was going to post a few pictures of myself in my new "nightcap"... I was going to talk all about how this time of year, no matter how many quilts, no matter how old they be (I have one that's almost 100!) I get chilled to my core and I lay there, my muscles contracted, shivering and wide awake from the god. damn. cold. but no- Roald Dahl had to go and spice things up enough to take my thunder... hot damn that man is a hoot.
